6 ways to perfect your next iphone photo!

I'm a huge fan of iphoneography, and I believe you can really capture amazing photos with the iPhone or any smartphone. Utilizing the edit photo option - you can brighten, crop, remove redeye and add a filter to enhance any iPhone photo. This is only the beginning in terms of the endless options you have with phone photography or iphoneography (the fancier term). I also use the following apps to edit, enhance and create art on my phone:

1. Instagram

This is an obvious one because over 100 million people use instagram on a monthly basis, but in any case, I really love all of the filter options on the app. It's especially amazing if and when you're taking photos of a birthday party, or you're out with family or friends and instagramming it, using an appropriate photo that suits the occasion. Hint: Valencia, Lo-Fi, Walden and Nashville are perfect for documenting on-the-go stuff. Later, you can print the photos out for .40 cents with walgreen's phone app. It's also important to note that instagram can be used with IOS, android or windows phone, which is awesome for everyone!

2. PicYou

This app is super dope in that you have various filter options (similar to instagram), but with more frame options, which I enjoy. I use this app to enhance an image (I've taken or found online) and then I share it on other networks. You can discover others and follow them too if you want. The best part about PicYou is that the filters are rich and you can really capture great pictures of people and scenic shots.

3. Hipstamatic

I've always been a huge fan of hisptamatic and it's actually really popular amongst us artsy types because the photo-taking options are endless! I love playing around with the different vintage lens options, flash and film. Beyonce is also a big user and shares cool shots on her blog.

4. Afterlight

If you haven't discovered Afterlight yet, now is the time. This is my favorite app to photo edit because it not only has 27 filters, but also 75 frames and an additional editing suite to fix a photo's brightness, saturation and exposure, just to name a few. After editing an image with this app, your photos will look more professional than you could've imagined. After viewing my daily celeb news on justjared, I often edit fashionable pics on afterlight to enhance the effect of professional paparazzi shots.

5. Pixlromatic

Pixlromatic is great for adding cool lighting effects and textures to your photos. Have a night out and want to make the photos extra special? This app is perfect for that, and you can finish off the look with textured frames too.

6. Camera360

Take selfies like you've never taken them before with this super cool app. This app is unique in that you choose the filter first, and since you're looking at yourself while taking a photo, you can see its immediate effects. The MagicSkin makes your skin look smooth, fresh, sweet and well, lovely.

Once you start using any of these apps and enjoy the editing options on your phone, you'll begin to notice how professional and artistic your photos are. People will even begin to ask you for pointers, so be sure to share your techniques with them! Got any cool photo editing tips or ideas? Share away!
